Beneficiaries

SPCA is a well-respected integrated animal welfare organisation established in 1958 that is
registered with the Registrar of Societies. It is a non-profit organisation with the aim of
promoting kindness and compassion towards all animals with the aim of alleviating cruelty and
reducing suffering. Since 2014 the organisation has helped over 2,650 animals find new homes
with the number growing every day.
Apart from that SPCA also organises campaigns which are dedicated to animal welfare with some
being Stray Free Selangor (SFS), Caring and Compassionate Communities (CCC) and Farm Animal
Welfare Program
The 6 pillars of SPCA are Shelter and adoption, Spay/neuter services, Education, Investigation
of animal abuse, Assistance to caregivers, and lobbying the government and with a new pillar was
added in 2020 to promote farm animal welfare.

Furrykids Safehaven is a non-profit organisation that focuses on providing a better life for
all strays in Seremban
Over the years, they have rescued and taken care of 1,800 dogs on their premises. The local
government authorities approached the organisation for help with the reallocation of dogs
caught by contracted dog catchers. During that time, the stray population was getting out of
control and the authorities agreed to provide land and shelter built with the help of
sponsors which sadly not all have materialised
The NGO is fully dependent on donations from the public to maintain the upkeep of rescued
strays and is very much focused on neutering the strays on the streets.

Rumah Kasih is an NGO that offers free shelter, food and medical treatment for the
discharged poor, homeless, old and terminally ill abandoned patients such as diabetics
without limbs, patients disowned by their children, patients whose families can’t be traced,
accident victims and so on.
Since the year 2000 the organisation has taken in more than 530 patients with more coming
in, they also offer hospital services, arrange decent and respectable funeral services, work
with government and private hospitals and so much more.

Agathians Shelter is another NGO that is based in Petaling Jaya (PJ), they are a welfare
home that takes in orphans, abandoned or from broken families with the age ranging between 5
to 20 year old.
Their mission is to save the children off the streets and to fulfil all the essential needs
in every kid’s life such as shelter, food, education, care, attention, and love.
