About

APU Neon Run 2023 is a fundraising fun run with the theme of neon and music which will be opening to both APU and the public community.

The APU Neon Run 2023 will take place on 6th May 2023, Saturday.

The event will be held at the Asia Pacific University of Innovation and Technology (APU), Bukit Jalil.

The length of the route is 5 km.

The APU Neon Run is held for charity and we initiated it to raise funds for our beneficiaries, including the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), Rumah Kasih, Furrykids Safehaven and Agathians Shelter.

Registration

Anyone who is legally residing in Malaysia is welcome to join!

General Admission is open for registration from the public community, while Student Admissions is for students, including those aged 18 years or below and students in higher education institutes with valid student cards.

A 5% platform fee will be charged by the registration service provider.

Payment methods supported are: Online Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, GrabPay, Boost & Touch n’ Go eWallet.

Your T-shirt size cannot be amended once registration has been completed. Please ensure that you have selected the correct size before submitting your registration.

No, the registration closes on 7th April 2023 at 11:59 p.m., or if the admission tickets are fully sold out, whichever comes first.

Runner's Entitlement

Registered runners are entitled to receive the official event T-shirt, finisher medal (only for those who completed the run), drawstring bag, wristband, neon kit and e-certificate.

The details of the race kit collection will be announced through our official website.

Someone you know, such as a friend or family member, can collect your race kit on your behalf as long as they are able to provide your registration confirmation and identification information.

Others

We recommend runners be there by the official opening of the event (7 p.m.). We do also encourage runners to take part in the carnival happening from 2 p.m. onwards.

Yes, both of them will be provided. Free parking will be provided in front of APU, on a first come first serve basis. Meanwhile, bus shuttles will be provided to/from the LRT Bukit Jalil Station.

Participants are encouraged to wear the official event T-shirt and dress appropriately. It is also recommended to wear comfortable shoes to ensure a better running experience.

Yes, it is perfectly fine to stop and walk during the run but do not obstruct the course. It is more about having fun and enjoying the experience than finishing the run quickly.

Participants are allowed to bring their own neon accessories as long as they aren’t deemed harmful as they will be confiscated if they are.

No, there is no baggage check-in service provided. Participants are responsible for keeping custody of their belongings.

No. Alcohol is strictly prohibited and the organiser reserves the right to deny entry.

Smoking is strictly prohibited during the event, either on the APU campus, at checkpoints or along the route.

The event will go ahead as scheduled unless there are extreme weather conditions that might pose a safety risk which participants will be informed about.
